The NVQ Level 3 Playwork qualification is designed for those supervising and training others in Playwork, including Assistant Managers and Senior Managers in a Playwork setting. It covers planning and supporting play and contributing to an organised framework.
Prior to joining the course you have an interview where an initial assessment is carried out to determine the correct level for you. You can start training with triangle without having gained previous qualifications, or previous courses of study.
Playworkers work with school age children (4-16) and plan activities and play opportunities to help them develop.
There are five mandatory units and six optional units. These are some of the units you would acquire:
NVQs benefit both you and the organisation where you work. NVQs also raise the quality of service provided by the childcare staff. All the skills recognised and measured against National Standards.
NVQ learners are assessed on their performance in the work setting by qualified assessors from triangle. You will also be required to attend training sessions delivered by triangle. this will give you the relevant underpinning knowledge and understanding in Playwork.
